Residential Summer Camp is dedicated to building and delivering high quality programs and camps for children and teenagers from around the world in the city of Toronto. The programs are a combination of language courses, cultural trips and visits to attractions. Students welcomed to the programs are under the age of 18 and as young as 9 years old. The programs are all inclusive in nature and the school takes care of the students from the moment they land at the airport to the moment they leave the city. For the summer the residential summer camp partner with the University of Toronto, the Victoria campus, one of the most beautiful an iconic campuses.

Ages:  9 -13, 14 - 17

Academic Preparation Course (APC) challenges students to develop their English in an academic setting. With a particular focus on writing, critical reading, and oral presentation skills, it is especially appropriate for motivated students who are considering applying to an English-language university. Students should arrive ready to participate in class discussions and debates, to work individually and in groups, and to learn from one another.

Ages: 15 -18

Minimum Level Required: Upper Intermediate: Upper Intermediate+

English for Global Business

Program #1

City: Toronto, University of Toronto

Program: English for Global Business is designed for students who wish to become more comfortable using English in their current job, or who are planning on a business career. Classes will provide practice with everyday professional activities such as introductions, telephone and face-to-face conversations, meeting participation, presentations, emails, and intercultural communication. Grammar will be reviewed as needed, but the main aim of this course is to help students to develop fluency and confidence in using English at work. The course includes practice in both speaking and writing, but the primary focus is on face-to-face communication. Students will also be expected to complete a final project designed by the teacher. In order to receive an IEP course certificate, students must:

  • actively participate in class activities;
  • show improved fluency over the course of the program;
  • complete the final project, along with any assigned homework, to the satisfaction of the teacher.

Activities and assignments in English for Global Business  focus on the everyday language and skills used in the workplace. The course is most appropriate for students who have recently entered the working world, or who know that they will need English for their future career.

Ages: 18+

Minimum English Level Required: Intermediate+

Business Experience:  Not Required

Grammar will be reviewed as needed, but the main aim of this course is to help students to develop fluency and confidence in using English for business purposes. The course includes practice in both speaking and writing, but the primary focus is on face-to-face communication. Students will also be expected to complete a final project designed by the teacher.
